Architect Alessandro Martinengo, inspired by the Vienna Secession, has created a new masterpiece. Colourful ceramics and clean lines combining perfectly in a façade that is reminiscent of far-off places. Keep looking up!
The chimneys, no longer used for their original purposes, are now elegant sculptures that decorate the skyline. A touch of eccentricity created by a Florence-based company. But it was not immediately popular.
The locals, used to more classical palaces, regarded it with suspicion. They could not imagine a noble family living behind these gaudy ceramic tiles.
Unlike the façade, the interior was much more traditional. Martinengo, who was inspired by Gaudì and nature, had to accept the more restrained choices of his customer.
